Hi, I’m Dr. Ardavan Jafari, but most people call me Dr. Ardi! I earned my Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto in 2016, followed by a Master of Science in Immunology from York University in 2019, and my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2024. Along the way, I was honoured with the A. Earl Homewood Memorial Award and had my research published in journals such as the American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology and PLoS One.
In practice, I treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, but I have a special interest in managing jaw and orofacial discomfort as well as chronic headaches related to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). My additional training allows me to offer specialized care for TMJ pain, neck pain, athlete management, and instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy.
A few things about me:
* I recently got married and love spending time with my wife and my dog, Lobo
* I’m a passionate soccer fan (Real Madrid!) and enjoy both playing and watching the sport
* I love to travel and explore new places
* My favourite local spots for espresso are Rise and Beacon
* I’m a car enthusiast and enjoy talking shop whenever I can

Hi, I’m Dr. Heather McDowell! I’m a chiropractor and the owner of County Wellness Center. My passion for chiropractic began as a teen after a soccer injury—chiropractic care helped me get back on the field, and that experience inspired me to pursue this profession.
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, followed by a Master’s in Exercise Physiology at San Jose State University. From there, I went on to graduate cum laude as class valedictorian from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in California. I’ve continued my training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and I’m certified in the Webster Technique, the PIPS Technique, and as a kinesiologist. I’m also a certified Cranial Sacral Therapist. I especially enjoy working with kids and pregnant clients, supporting them through these important stages of life.

Hi, I’m Dr. Jessica Longhi—but you can call me Dr. Jess! I grew up in Vaughan, Ontario, before moving to Peterborough, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and later a Master’s degree at Trent University. I always knew I wanted to help people in healthcare, but it wasn’t until I discovered chiropractic that everything clicked. I connected with the profession instantly and knew it was the way I could truly improve people’s quality of life.
I went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. During that time, I worked with clients of all ages, from infants to seniors. One of the most impactful experiences was completing a residency at the Rochester Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, where I developed a strong interest in working with adults and older adults. That experience reinforced my holistic approach—seeing the person, not just the condition.
My love for animals also led me to pursue animal chiropractic certification through the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre here in Canada. Today, I run Morrice Animal Chiropractic out of our Picton location, where I have the joy of working with both small and large animals.
A little about me:
* I’m married to my husband, Tim, and together we’re raising our daughter in Quinte West
* I have two wonderful dogs, Dolly and Daisy
* I’m the proud forever-person to Pete, my off-the-track Standardbred horse
* I love spending time outdoors—gardening, long walks, and evenings by the campfire
* I enjoy visiting art galleries and exploring creativity in all forms

* My favourite flower is the dahlia

Hi, I’m Kelsey! I was born and raised in Prince Edward County, and after spending time living in Whistler, BC, I discovered my true passion for wellness and holistic care. At County Wellness Center, I’m grateful to support our community in two meaningful roles — as a Chiropractic Assistant and a Fascial Stretch Therapist — within a collaborative, whole-body approach to health.
My time in British Columbia allowed me to work closely with mountain bikers, snowboarders, and skiers of all levels, supporting recovery, mobility, and performance. That experience deepened my appreciation for how intentional care and movement can enhance both healing and overall quality of life.
I’m trained through the Stretch to Win Institute as a Level 1 Fascial Stretch Therapy practitioner, and I love offering one-on-one stretch sessions that help clients move more freely, reduce tension, and feel more connected to their bodies. Whether I’m assisting behind the scenes to ensure your visit runs smoothly or working hands-on during a session, my goal is always the same — to help you feel supported, comfortable, and empowered in your wellness journey.
When you visit the Center, I’m often one of the first smiles you’ll see. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for individuals and families alike, and I especially enjoy helping children feel safe and confident in our space.
A little about me:
* I live on East Lake with my son and our Rottweiler
* I enjoy paddle boarding, swimming, running, and evenings around the campfire
* I love baking and trying new recipes
* Fall is my favourite season
* I hope to become a Registered Massage Therapist in the future
* Nature is truly my happy place

Hi, I’m Trudy!
My husband, Gary, and I have spent our summers in Prince Edward County since 2008. After retiring from my career as an executive, we decided to make this beautiful region our full-time home — and we couldn’t be happier to be part of such a warm and welcoming community.
I’m passionate about helping others find balance and wellbeing through Yoga, Meditation, and Movement. As a Certified Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, Breathwork Coach, and Somatics Educator, I believe in the power of these practices to support calm, clarity, and deeper connection in everyday life.
You’ll be seeing me around the clinic one day a week as a Chiropractic Assistant, and even more as I expand my wellness offerings in 2026. Stay tuned — exciting workshops and individual sessions coming soon! 💚
